Today I was browsing Digg and stumbled across what I can only describe as the worst audio recording I’ve ever had the misfortune of experiencing. Take 4 pre-pubescent boys, add 1 topic to which no one in their right mind could ever possibly care about enough to write a song about and throw in a pinch of glow in the dark neon lighting, and you’ve got yourself The Black Out Band with their smash hit “Video Games.” They are an insult to rock…an insult to music….and most of all: an insult to existence itself. I refuse to classify their tripe as “music” because there is nothing rhythmic or enticingly audible about it.
There’s a kicker too (as if that wasn’t already enough): not only did someone (who I can only imagine was on more coke that afternoon than Keith Richards could ever hope to metabolize in 6 lifetimes) give them funding to go into a recording studio and make copies of this garbage, but they also subsequently smoked all the crack, heroin and baby toe nails that they could get their hands on afterwards because they also gave them enough money to film a video for this non-song. I honestly cannot believe that wastes of skin like this somehow receive anything more than a solid-steel I beam up their ass while real musicians get rejected by label after label, day after day.
Get your earplugs handy and your therapist on speed dial because I promise that if you can finish this whole clip, you’ll want to kill yourself shortly thereafter.

And i’m also not smug or pretentious enough to think my opinion is the end all opinion. Do you have any talent apart from flaming people on your blog? I bet a lot of hte people that read your blog read it just to hear how you’re going to thrash someone rather than because they value your opinion. Sorry you’re such an angry dood.
