These are the coolest rave toys you’ve never seen. They’re two glass (?) balls welded together, and then illuminated with tiny lights and look really fucking awesome. I can’t really say much else about them so just take a look and be amazed.

Today while browsing my favorite forums, I happened upon a thread called “Awesome Mashups?” People were invited to post YouTube videos and MP3s of their favorite mashups. For those of you not aware what a mashup is, it’s when someone takes the vocal track from one song, the music of another, and combines them to form a sort of “super-song.” Unfortunately, 99.999% of all mashups ever created have been put together by apparently deaf 4 year olds. They fucking suck.
Against my better judgment, I decided to enter the thread, partially fearing for my life and partially hoping to stumble upon a stroke of genius. The first page was crap, and most of the second page was too, until I stumbled upon something that actually made me laugh out loud. “Enya vs. Prodigy – Smack My Orinoco Flow Up” (or separately known as Enya’s Orinoco Flow and Prodigy’s Smack My Bitch Up.) For those of you who have never heard one (or both) of these songs, let me give you a quick rundown:

I don’t want to describe this video too much because it will ruin the surprise at the end. Suffice it to say, this video really makes you think about how much you really are affected by advertising, even if you don’t realize it.
